About:

Perspectives Film Festival: Breakthroughs in Cinema is Singapore’s first and longest-running student-led film festival. Showcasing eclectic mixes of cinematic breakthroughs from around the world, this film festival is organised by undergraduates from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as part of a practicum conducted by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI).

 

In 2024, our 17th edition scrutinised the dizzying realm of visual effects, looking closely at fabricated worlds and pioneering visual techniques.

Creative Problem: 

For Perspectives Film Festival 2024, I was part of the Editorial Team. We were tasked to create organic content (social media content, print booklets, article writing) to drive publicity and signups for the festival's line up.

Solution:

My main role as the video editor was to create the overall festival trailer to showcase the festival's theme and highlight the most interesting moments in the films, while abiding by the copyright restrictions set by the original creators.

 

This resulted in 1x16:9 Youtube trailer, and 2xshort form reels for Instagram.
